Food Additives

Food additives are substances added to food during the manufacturing process to enhance its appearance, flavor, texture, preservation, and safety. They are used in a wide range of processed and packaged foods to improve their quality, extend shelf life, and maintain consistency.

There are various types of food additives, each serving a specific purpose. Such as preservatives, flavor enhancers, colorants, sweeteners, texture modifiers, texture modifiers and so on.

It's important to note that not all food additives are harmful. In many cases, they undergo strict safety evaluations by regulatory authorities to ensure they are safe for consumption. However, some individuals may have sensitivities or allergies to certain additives. It is recommended to read food labels and be aware of any specific additives that may cause adverse reactions.

It is almost noncaloric, does not disrupt blood sugar levels, and does not contribute to tooth decay. Additionally, erythritol is partially absorbed by the body and excreted in urine and feces.
